We all know that we’re the last to get time. We have a nasty habit of prioritising everyone else’s needs, projects and desires ahead of our own.
It’s time to block time for ourselves and we have the perfect solution: block printing.
Woodblock printing on textiles is the process of printing patterns on textiles, usually of linen, cotton or silk, by means of incised wooden blocks. It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing. It’s a methodical process that lulls you in with its slow, precise moments, and delivering to you a gorgeous final product.
Just in time for the run-up to the mad Christmas season, we are delighted to host 2 separate block printing classes with the talented duo of Yateley Papers, Trudi Savin and Sophie Morton. Join us on 15th or 22nd September 2017 for an introduction to this ancient art of block printing, when Sophie and Trudy will take you through the paces to create stunning takeaway designs.
During this class, you will Block Print onto paper sheets, creating beautiful handmade gift wrap, gift tags, ribbons, gift bags, book coverings and/or kerchiefs/napkins, all of which you will take home with you after this short course…..to use and admire!
